Bill Banker, President of Banker Investment Group,
has over 20 years of experience in the financial services
industry. Upon graduation from Purdue University in 1985,
he began his career with a major brokerage firm. After 13
years with this company, Bill grew frustrated with commission-based
advising. At a time when the investment industry was just
beginning to move away from commission-based advising, Bill
chose to open the fee-based Banker Investment Group. |
Bill
continues to be pleased with his decision to become a fee-based
advisor because he feels this is the most ethical form of
advising available.
Over the years, Bill has built a sound practice and formed
relationships with some of the leading discount brokerage
firms. Bill has maintained close ties to his alma mater as
well. Through his affiliation with the university’s
retirement plan custodian, he is able to serve many Purdue
University employees as clients.
Bill maintains a long-term outlook on investing. This outlook
has helped him guide clients through difficult periods of
recession in the late 1980s and early 2000s, and will surely
help him achieve success in the future.
Bill currently resides in West Lafayette with his wife, Lisa,
and four children. He enjoys spending time with his family,
golfing, and supporting Purdue University programs.
